Final Year Projects Workshop - ON Campus SLTMNIT
On November 22, 2024, the IET on Campus NIT successfully organized a one-day workshop aimed at guiding final-year students in selecting and developing their final-year projects. Held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the workshop attracted a diverse audience of over 80 students from various engineering disciplines.
The event featured two distinguished speakers: Ms Umaya Balagalla and Mr. Sadaruwan Medamulla, who delivered insightful sessions on Machine Learning and Microcontrollers, respectively. Miss Balagalla delved into the fundamentals and real-world applications of Machine Learning, providing students with a solid foundation to incorporate intelligent systems into their projects. Meanwhile, Mr. Medamulla's session focused on Microcontrollers, emphasizing their role in embedded systems and guiding students on how to effectively integrate these devices into innovative solutions. In addition to the technical presentations, the workshop concluded with a dynamic panel discussion, featuring Nimantha Madushan alongside the two speakers. The panelists addressed students' questions, offering valuable advice on project selection, execution, and overcoming challenges. For those who couldn't attend in person, the workshop was streamed live on the official IET On Campus NIT Facebook page, extending its reach to a broader audience and enabling virtual participation.
The workshop provided invaluable guidance to students as they embarked on their final-year projects, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to tackle complex problems using cutting-edge technologies.
